Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 12, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Webhook Studio. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles data. Because Webhook Studio is designed as a client-side tool, your data privacy is inherently protected by the architecture of the application itself.
2. Information We Collect (Or Rather, Don't)
Webhook Studio operates entirely in your web browser. We do not have a backend database, and we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, IP addresses, or Discord profile information to our servers.
3. Discord Webhook URLs
The Discord Webhook URLs you paste into Webhook Studio are highly sensitive. We treat them as such:
- Your webhook URLs are never sent to our servers.
- When you send a message, your browser makes a direct HTTP POST request to Discord's API.
- We cannot see, log, or intercept the messages you send or the URLs you use.
4. Browser Storage (Local Storage)
To provide a seamless experience, Webhook Studio allows you to save "Presets" (your custom embed designs and webhook URLs) so you don't lose your work when you refresh the page.
- This data is saved exclusively in your browser's Local Storage.
- It never leaves your device.
- You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser data or using the "Reset" button within the application.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use intrusive third-party analytics (like Google Analytics) that track your behavior across the web. Any analytics used are strictly privacy-respecting, anonymized, and used solely to count page views without identifying individual users.
6. Third-party Services
Our application interfaces directly with the Discord API. When you use Webhook Studio to send a message, you are bound by Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
7. Security
While we do not store your data on our servers, we ensure the application is served over a secure HTTPS connection to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks while you use the interface. However, the security of your device and browser is your responsibility. Do not use Webhook Studio on public or shared computers if you are saving sensitive Webhook URLs to Local Storage.
8. Data Retention
Because we do not store your data, we have no data to retain or delete. The data in your browser's Local Storage is retained until you manually clear it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect email addresses, we cannot notify you directly. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
10. Contact Information
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please reach out to us by opening an issue on our GitHub repository.
